Since its foundation in 2014, the Computer Security Lab (CSecLab) is committed to bringing together researchers, students, and practitioners interested in Computer Security.
While the initial focus of the CSecLab research activities was on Mobile Security, over the years, the areas of interest have grown to include other domains, such as Software Supply Chain Security, Virtualization, Privacy, Security Testing, and Cybersecurity of Cyber-physical Systems.
CSecLab is a proud member of the National Cybersecurity Laboratory of the National Inter-university Consortium for Informatics. Our lab is also involved in several national and international research projects.
CSecLab offers thesis proposals and internships in collaboration with prominent research institutions and industries.

discovered new vulnerabilities on Android
In the context of an academic collaboration between the CSecLab and Eurecom, Antonio Ruggia and Alessio Merlo discovered - together with Simone Aonzo, Dario Nisi and Andrea Possemato from EURECOM - a set of novel vulnerabilities allowing to mount a phishing attack to all applications and Android versions developed so far.

The 7th edition of the IEEE European Symposium on Security and Privacy has ended with great success in our city of Genova.Â
Alessio Merlo, Luca Verderame and Marina Ribaudo took part in the organization committee as General Chair and Local Chairs respectively.

Ifrit best paper at ICST22!
Andrea Romdhana et al. won the best paper award at ICST22 with "IFRIT: Focused Testing through Deep Reinforcement Learning".
